The intended goal and purpose of the CMMI Model and People CMM Model, and the SCAMPI family of appraisal methods is for process improvement. Training

Course: Introduction to CMMI for Development, (Staged and Continuous)

This is SEI Carnegie Mellon official training on CMMI principles. Certification from this course is useful to participate in SEI authorized process maturity appraisals. It trains participants in: assessment basis for each CMMI process area, with related objectives and practices; understanding of how and if an organization conforms to CMMI process areas. The participant is provided with appropriate tools to identify gaps and process improvement opportunities according to the CMMI implementation system.
The course is aimed at: systems/software engineering managers, who will initiate implementation of CMMI model in their organizations.
The course is lead by instructors certified by SEI Carnegie Mellon for Introduction to CMMI.

Course: CMMI for Senior Managers

This is a one-day seminar providing a package of CMMI key principles. It aims to give senior managers basis to assess the strategic impact from software process improvement (SPI). The course clarifies the resources required to implement CMMI levels.
The seminar is a priceless tool to raise awareness in process improvement values when your organization is implementing CMMI or planning to initiate it.

Course: Services Supplement for CMMI-DEV

This is a one-day course introducing CMMI fundamental concepts related to service delivery and management. The CMMI for Services (CMMI-SVC) model defines effective practices that ensure that quality services are delivered to customers and end users. Suitable for participants who have successfully completed a 3-day ‘Introduction to CMMI for Development’ course (version 1.1-1.3).

Course: Acquisition Supplement for CMMI-DEV

This one-day course is introducing acquisition managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process group (e.g. SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI fundamental concepts related to acquisition. CMMI for Acquisition (CMMI-ACQ) is a CMMI model designed for use in managing a supply chain by those who acquire, procure, or otherwise select and purchase products and services for business purposes.
